Mid-August Delivery is our Grass Fed ‘n’ Finished Summer Offering
Grass Fed ‘n’ Finished means exactly that – the yearling is raised and finished on grass. (Buyer beware…you cannot get local grass finished beef in February!).
We need your intention (deposit) to order beef on or before May 1st so we know how many yearlings to put out to grass so the yearlings get the best of spring/summer grazing. Your order will be processed in late July with delivery slated for mid-August.
Mid-May Delivery is our Ranch Recipe Fed ‘n’ Finished Winter Offering
We are happy to introduce our new winter forage program! Ranch Recipe Fed ‘n’ Finished means that in addition to Ranch grass grazing, the yearling is also raised and finished on Ranch hay and a Alfalfa Cube/Molasses forage.
We need your intention (deposit) to order beef on or before November 1st so we know how many yearlings to keep for our Ranch Recipe program over the winter. Your order will be processed in late April with delivery slated for mid-May.
Perhaps a little education on “size” of order is necessary:
- a Beef = a whole beef has 2 Sides – each Side can be custom cut to different specifications or the whole beef can be custom cut to the same specifications. (That’s a lot of beef!)
- a Side = (1/2 a Beef) – your order is custom cut to your specifications
- a Split Side = (AKA Mixed 1/4) This order is usually shared between two groups (i.e. 2 families) where the Side is custom cut to specification but its divided or split into two orders with cuts from the front and hind quarters making up each order. If you do not have someone to “share” with, we will still fill your Split Side order but you will not necessarily get all your customization as we will need to find the other “Split”. (confused yet?)
- Sorry, as a rule, we do not offer Front Quarters or Hind Quarters
Our beef costs $4.50/lb which includes custom cutting and wrapping. To give you an idea, a SIDE of beef weighs approximately 250lbs plus/minus 15%. This is called the hanging weight for the beef. A SPLIT is approximately 130lbs @ $4.50 = ~$560.00….

Perhaps the way to go is to order a Split for Spring/Summer BBQ season with your custom cutting instructions focused on Steaks and our handy Burger Patties and stir fry; and then later a Split for Fall/Winter Stew & Roast season with your custom cutting instructions focused on Roasts, stewing beef, stir fry and burger….
