We thought we would reach out to y’all and thank you for your orders for this year.  Your deposits are in and all our yearlings are out to grass.  The next step is to provide us with your order cutting instructions.  Please use this link to the instruction form or paste this link into your browser: http://rawhide-adventures.on.ca/pvrbeef/beef/butcher-form/

If you want us to use the same instructions from a previous year’s order, just let me know.  Either way, we need to have your delivery address and a cell phone number to reach you should we need to on delivery date.

Speaking of delivery – looks like this year’s delivery week will be the week of August 14th.   Please put this on your planning radar as we don’t know exactly what day/time we will be in your neighbourhood, we just know generally when the orders will be ready to be delivered and we will need someone to receive them on your end.   We will send out a more detailed email on this near the end of July.

In the meantime, start preparing your freezer for some fabulous beef!

After he orders a drink he notices that there are pieces of beef nailed to the ceiling of the bar so he asks the barman what they are for.

The barman replies, ”If you can jump up and pull one of them down you get free beer all night!  If you fail, you have to pay the bar $100.   Do you want to have a go?”

The man thinks about it for a minute before replying, “Nah, the steaks are too high!”

April Showers Bring May Flowers…

Or so the story goes!

Happy New Year Everyone!

We are waiting for these spring showers to move out so that we can get a glimpse of sun!

We have started harrowing pastureland to get a jump start on some green grass, as well we are out starting to walk the fence lines looking for winter damage…. yup out to grass is coming soon… you had better start thinking about your freezer beef order for 2017!  We are!

Its May 15th and Snow is in the Air!

With this weekend’s snow will come the next stretch of fabulous warmth and growth – honestly!  Its an “old wives tale” that tells the story NEVER to plant before May 2-4 weekend – and look what you have!

Yearlings WILL go out to grass this coming week – because the grass will grow!

The Grass is always Greener!

Howdy All!

Its nearing the end of April and FINALLY all the snow is melting!

Our cattle are all looking forward to getting out onto fresh pastures – we just have to wait a bit for the grass to grow and get ahead of the herd! This rain is nice, we just need a stretch of sunny days!

Now is the time to put your deposit down on your grass finished beef order – we need to make sure we will have enough yearlings out to grass so secure your spot before May 6th!

Off to fix fences!

Its April 6 2016…

…and its snowing here o the Ranch! Hard to imagine that we expect to have all our cattle out to grass by May 15th!

But its happened before, and it will happen again! Thus the cycle of Ranch life!

Sold Out – For 2015!

Well! Thank y’all for having the confidence in our fabulous product!

Our yearlings are out on luscious grass as we speak – enjoying what mother nature provides in an abundance! Fat and happy they are!

We will be in touch with those who ordered for 2015 – confirming their cutting instructions – before we send the beef off to processing in late July.

Getting ready for 2015 Grass Season!

Well, its kind of crazy talking about pasture management when the groundhogs can’t even get their act together! Our thoughts are turning to spring and wondering how many beef we need to put out to grass! Perhaps its time to look at your freezer and get things sorted out for the next order!

We are SOLD OUT for 2014!

Howdy Happy Beef Eaters!

Thanks again, for all who placed your deposit for our grass finished beef! The calves are out to grass finally!!! After such a hard winter, the spring has been equally slow to start!

We will be in touch in July to keep you posted on progress, gather up any remaining curing instructions and prepare for processing in August!
